The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) established the Enterprise Data Analytics Repository System (eDARS) program to fulfill the Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) OMB M-16-19 mandate. TyGR LLC team implemented the eDARS DCOI solution as a custom application on the ServiceNow platform, integrating Data Collection Forms, Workflows, Demand, Project, Performance Analytics, Service Catalog, Knowledge Base, Service Portal applications and enabling access to the entire DOE enterprise via Single Sign-On (SSO) using LDAPS and SAML. Through Quarterly Data Calls data center key information is aggregated information and provided necessary visibility controls, approvals, notification, audits, collaboration and analysis features supporting both Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA) and DCOI requirements are provided.
Over 200 data center points of contact (PoCs) from the non-classified Data Centers from 50+ Program Offices serving over 110,000 users were provided SSO access to eDARS with tools to ease the transition between manual and newly automated quarterly data calls, to provide assessments, audits, analytics and configurable review processes for the federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) reporting data submission and for local data center consumption.
Support for requesting access and enterprise licenses for Nlyte DCIM Suite key access was enabled through the Service Catalog.
All requirements and tasking were managed using the Agile Development application and Incident and Change Management applications were used in support of daily operations, all provided by TyGR.
